But I prefer the mountains. With lakes on the top, where you can bath. And then I don't care if the lakes are 12 or less degrees. Once I bath in a glacial stream. It was very cold (and when I say very, I mean very!), but so cool ;)
Yeah,this looks beautiful too :)
Damn,I would never be courageous enough to do that, never!

It's only one day, when you might find some partys but, yeah, it's not that big. I've never been to one of these big carnival-events like in cologne or something similar. And I don't really thing that I need to go there. ;)
I'm from northern Germany too,in which area do you live? :)
Close to Oldenburg (around 45 minutes), so Lower Saxony ;)
May I ask which town near Kiel? I was born in Eckernförde and my family lived quite a long time in Kiel. Saddly we moved when I was 1 1/2 years old but I'm still visiting Kiel once a year. :)
To the point that it's boring that we don't really celebrate it: it's just not such a big thing here - no one really cares. So if you've never celebrated it you can't really miss it.
God,you must be kidding me,right?

You were born in Eckernförde!
I live in a little village next to Eclernförde,called Kosel,but I guess you can't remember it,don't you? :)
That's really really funny

When you're back from Indonesia and you're in Kiel, maybe we see each other
